Last night, Laura and I totaled the money, made sure all the tickets were in the box and shuffled....only to discover the official ticket puller was fast asleep. The drawing was delayed by a few hours. At 7am, the official ticket puller was working again! Natalie (aka "official ticket puller) ran downstairs and grabbed her microphone and announced that she would be pulling the winning ticket. She ran back upstairs, stood on a dinning room chair and said, "Who will the winner be? Who will the winner be!?" Natalie's hand plunged into the drawing box and swirled around a few times before she pulled the ticket out. She showed me the ticket and asked me verify that she was saying the name right. I nodded, yes. Natalie lifted the microphone to her lips and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you....the winner! Leann!" She then promptly jumped off the chair and said, "Ok, ready for breakfast." Did I mention Alex and I were the only ones here.....
That's right, Leann Kloke is the big winner of our 50/50 raffle! The total pot reached $1730, making Leann the proud owner of $865. Congrats, Leann!
Laura and I want to thank each and every person who bought a raffle ticket. Without you, this would not have been possible. We are so blessed we have people in our lives that care and support us on our adventures! Thank you for making a dream turn into a reality!
