Saturday Recap

Yesterday Laura and I hit Lord Hill trails and knocked out 14 miles.  It was very muddy in parts; one hill was so steep and muddy we couldn't get enough traction to run. It was declared an opportunity to develop our walk/hiking skills.  Despite the mud, Laura and I were able to finish in 2:45.  That was the same time it took us to run 13 miles in November.  As Laura put it, "We are getting faster! (slowly)"  We are very pleased that we have improved on our time.  I feel confident we will do well in 2 weeks when we run 20 miles on Lord Hill.

Today, Laura and I will run 10 miles around the Seattle area.  We are getting a late afternoon run in.  I wonder if I will talk about how much I want to eat a hamburger on today's run.  Maybe I need to talk about cupcakes.......
